Chrome has launched a new artificial intelligence defense system that catches scam notifications before they do any harm. According to the latest update, the browser has released a new update for Android devices where it now uses on-device machine learning to identify and flag suspicious notifications.

Google's AI system now flags suspicious notifications to protect Android users from falling victim to deceptive tactics.

In Chrome, Google is deploying its Gemini Nano on-device large language model (LLM) to provide an Enhanced Protection mode to users. Google says this “keeps users twice as safe from phishing and other scams versus our Standard Protection mode.”
