Carlos Santana kick-started an eight-run sixth inning with a bases-clearing double, and the Cleveland Guardians beat the Nationals 8-6 on Wednesday to win two of three at Washington in a 24-hour span.

Just like that, the Cleveland Guardians win another series and still have one of the top two records in the American League. This time, the Guardians took two of three games from the Washington Nationals in three high-scoring games.

After that double, the Guardians ran away with the game. Apart from some light bullpen (Matt Festa) tomfoolery in the bottom of the 7th, the bullpen (outside of Festa) combined for 4.1 innings of scoreless baseball (Cantillo-Herrin-Gaddis-Smith-Allard-Clase).
