Ford Motor suspended its annual guidance on Monday because of uncertainty around U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs, saying the levies would cost the company about $1.5 billion in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes.

The company expects to lose $1.5 billion in operating profit due to tariffs in 2025. Ford said Monday that its net income fell by about two-thirds in the first quarter to $473 million, or 12 cents per share,
