The Fantastic Four box office has everyone saying the sky is falling. Time to put on my professional Box Office Boy hat.

Universal’s “Jurassic World Rebirth” rounded out the top five with $8.4 million in its fifth weekend of release. The dinosaur epic, which rebooted the long-running property with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, has grossed $317 million in North America and $766 million globally.

Marvel’s first family stumbled in theaters in its second weekend, but still held on to the top spot at the box office. “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” earned $40 million from 4,125 North American theaters,
