With feels-like temperatures threatening to soar to 105 - 110 degrees, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Miami-Dade and Broward. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Miami had 60 days last year when the heat index was above 110 degrees F. This is considered extremely dangerous to people who do not have access to air conditioning and other ways to stay cooler than the outside temperature Heat is also a major cause of ER admissions during the hottest months.
