A game day employee for the Pittsburgh Pirates has been suspended after getting into a fight with a fan at Sunday's game at PNC Park. Sources tell KDKA it started when the fan and his friend allegedly started harassing a woman who worked at a concession stand.

The fan wobbles away but takes off his jacket and goads the employee to fight before spitting on the employee at least twice. At that point, the employee takes off his belt and begins whipping the fan, who frantically backs away while others intervene. On Monday, the Pirates told KDKA that the employee had been suspended.

Kavan Markwood, 20, fell roughly two stories. His condition has improved enough that he is breathing without the help of a ventilator, his sister said.
