Cambodia will nominate U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, its deputy prime minister said on Friday, following his direct intervention in halting the Southeast Asian country's recent border conflict with Thailand.

Cambodian leaders have joined a long list of hardliners in nominating United States President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, a decision made as this tiny Southeast Asian country said it would buy 10 Boeing aircraft and won a sharp reduction in US-export tariffs.
