BYU is ranked No. 23 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll released Monday morning, with 287 points. That comes a year after the Cougars went 11-2 overall, finished in a four-way tie at 7-2 in the Big 12 and won the Alamo Bowl. BYU ended the 2024 season ranked No. 14 in the coaches poll.

The preseason edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll Top 25 was released on Monday. Alabama is No. 8 in the preseason rankings, while Auburn was among those receiving votes. It’s the lowest preseason ranking for the Crimson Tide since it was unranked entering 2008, while the Tigers are not in the Top 25 to start the season for the fifth straight year.
