According to Sacramento parking official Gabby Miller, the city uses a tiered parking rate system that considers both the length of time a vehicle is parked at a space and the type of meter in use. Under the proposed changes, the current tiered rates of $2, $3.50, and $4.40 per hour would increase to $3, $4.50, and $6 per hour.
