Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admits his team had no shot at winning when Stephen Curry went down with his injury.

Though the Warriors struggled to contain the Timberwolves in the deciding contest, head coach Steve Kerr said it was another game that turned the series. Speaking to reporters after the game, Kerr laid blame on the team's inability to hold a late lead in Game 3.

Fans are having a field day roasting him for the duds but Golden State coach Steve Kerr was there to provide some much-needed perspective during his postgame commentary. "Jimmy changed our season," Kerr said.

On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals. Without their best player, Stephen Curry, the Warriors couldn’t force a Game 6.

It is rare to see basketball fans question Steve Kerr’s judgment. The 59-year-old is one of the most respected tacticians in the history of the league, winning four championships with the Golden State Warriors and following that up by guiding Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves reached their second straight Western Conference Finals as they downed the Golden State Warriors 121-110 to close out a 4-1 series win.
