ATLANTA — Georgia Rep. Buddy Carter released a campaign ad for a U.S. Senate run on Thursday morning, becoming one of the first big Republican names to enter the 2026 race.

The announcement comes just days after Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said he would not be on the ballot to challenge Jon Ossoff in 2026.
