BEIRUT (AP) — A series of Israeli airstrikes Thursday in southern Lebanon killed at one person and wounded eight others, the Lebanese Health Ministry said.

“In a special Mossad and IDF (army) operation, we have returned home the body of Sgt. First Class Tzvi Feldman, who fell in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub in June 1982 during the First Lebanon War,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.

Israel launched dozens of airstrikes in south Lebanon on Thursday, in one of its heaviest bombardments of the region since a ceasefire ended last year's war with the Iran-backed Hezbollah. The Israeli military said it had hit a Hezbollah infrastructure site in the south.
