Washington — The House on Thursday passed a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America," which would codify an executive order signed by President Trump on his first day in office.

Codifying Donald Trump's executive order, Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a bill to completely rename the Gulf of Mexico. It passed the House Thursday.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was ridiculed on social media after she said the United States should take pride in owning the Gulf of Mexico, rebranded by Donald Trump as the Gulf of America.
