By John Revill BASEL, Switzerland (Reuters) -Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Swiss host city Basel on Saturday, in the country's first victory since bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won in 2014.

Austria’s JJ has won the Eurovision Song Contest with the emotional song Wasted Love, while Israeli singer Yuval Raphael was the runner-up.

Austria has won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. The winning artist was a singer named JJ, real name Johannes Pietsch, who sung a song called Wasted Love. He scored 436 points in total, comprised of 178 points from the public and 258 from the professional juries.
