After Kim’s shapewear and clothing company, Skims, released new face shapewear in beige and brown, social media users started comparing it to the mask the Oscar winenr once wore as the cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter in The Silence Of The Lambs.

Face wraps are not new, and similar designs have existed for years, typically used post-surgery. But Skims has rebranded the concept saying the "must-have" wrap can be used "everyday" and that it's intended to "shape and sculpt".

The shapewear, which is designed so that it "snatches" your face, drew many comparisons to Hannibal Lecter after its release on Wednesday.
